Fundraising Objectives for the 2010-2011 School Year
The PTA will spend approximately $28 for each student on the many educational and cultural arts assemblies and other programs and events that we either sponsor or support. We hope you will agree that our programs are worth your continued support. Our Board is aware that fundraising puts a burden on our families and our volunteers. We are working very hard to make fundraising as painless as possible by reducing our budget where we can, by reducing the number of fundraisers we will run this year, and by limiting our fundraisers to those that offer high value or quality, convenient substitutions for items that you would purchase routinely elsewhere.
There are several ways you can support the fundraising efforts of the PTA at Virginia Lake:
Direct Donation - make a tax-deductible donation to the PTA at the start of the school year.
Fall Market Day Gifts, gift Wrap and Chocolates Fall fundraiser - purchase quality gift items, magazines, chocolate, and gift wrap with a 50% return of profit.
Market Day Monthly Grocery Program – purchase convenient, quality foods while returning a percent of the profit to our school. Please create an account with marketday choosing Virginia Lake as your school. Place your orders and pickup at the school on pickup day.
VL Garage Sale Spring Program - Please donate clean, gently used items, in working condition for our PTA fundraiser. Presort items into labeled boxes. Acceptable donations include clothing, shoes and boots, small electronics, toys, games, books, movies, decorative, household, holiday, baby, and sports items. Please no TV's, computers, or large furniture. *Upon item drop off you will be provided with a donation tax receipt. All items will be priced by the Garage Sale Committee. Items that do not sell will be donated to a charity at the end of the event.
Raffle/Silent Auction - donate or bid on items in our Raffle/Silent Auction at our annual Fun Fair family event in Jan/Feb 2011.
